Parents arrested after children found locked up and living in feces
An Oklahoma couple, 24-uear-old Dakota Rain Dodd and 22-year-old Aubrianna Jewelyn Willow Freeman have been arrested and charged with five counts of child neglect after authorities discovered their young children living in deplorable conditions, police said.
The couple’s apartment in Oklahoma City was reportedly filled with filth and human feces, where their two sons, aged 3 and 4, were found locked inside a bedroom.
Law enforcement officers were dispatched to the residence on Greenvale Road, near Lytle Park, for a welfare check. When they arrived, Dodd answered the door with visible redness and marks on his face, suggesting he had just woken up. Initially, Dodd claimed he was alone but later admitted his two sons were upstairs.
According to the police report, the officer who entered the apartment was immediately overwhelmed by the strong smell of garbage and feces. The home was described as “extremely unkempt,” with filth and food scattered across the floors, walls, and furniture.
When Dodd led the officer upstairs, he was reportedly in a hurry, as if trying to beat the officer to the children’s room. Upon opening the bedroom door, the officer was met with an overwhelming stench.
The two boys, completely naked and covered in feces, emerged from the room as if they had been waiting to escape. Their faces, hands, bodies and feet were smeared with feces, and the walls, floors, and even the windows were covered in excrement.
Dodd claimed he had intended to bathe the children and clean the feces off the walls “with paint.”

During the investigation, significant portions of the police report were redacted, but the narrative described the appalling conditions inside the apartment. Along with the two boys, an 11-month-old baby girl was also found in the residence, though she was reportedly kept separate from her brothers.
The children were taken away by authorities, and both Dodd and Freeman were arrested.
