The suspect, identified as Brian Michael Wilson, 53, has been charged with aggravated murder following the deadly confrontation.

According to court documents, Deputy Daniel Sherrer, 31, responded to a report of a domestic disturbance at Wilson’s residence. A four-year veteran of the Morrow County Sheriff’s Office, Deputy Sherrer was allegedly met with gunfire shortly after arriving at the scene.

Body camera footage reportedly captured the encounter leading up to the shooting. Wilson, allegedly seated on his front porch and visibly armed, warned the deputy not to approach, stating: “Don’t come up here,” and “Don’t f—ing come around that corner, I will f—ing kill you.”

Despite the threats, Deputy Sherrer attempted to engage with Wilson. The suspect allegedly continued issuing vulgar and threatening statements, including: “I’m not f—ing playing, you better just f—ing go if you want your family to see you tomorrow,” and “Get the f— out of here now.”

Sherrer reportedly tried to de-escalate the situation before Wilson allegedly opened fire. Court documents showed that Wilson used two handguns during the shooting, both of which were recovered at the scene.

The body camera also reportedly recorded the sound of one firearm clicking repeatedly, indicating Wilson fired until he exhausted his ammunition.
