Marjorie Taylor Greene drops screenshots of private texts to Trump about Epstein — now says ‘He’s coming after me hard’

Washington, D.C. – Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) issued a fiery response Today after President Donald Trump publicly branded her “‘Wacky’ Marjorie” and threatened to endorse a 2026 primary challenger, insisting the rift erupted over her push for full Epstein file release rather than phone calls.

In a lengthy X thread, Greene wrote: “President Trump just attacked me and lied about me. I haven’t called him at all, but I did send these text messages today. Apparently this is what sent him over the edge. The Epstein files.”

Greene accused Trump of “coming after me hard to make an example to scare all the other Republicans before next weeks vote to release the Epstein files.”

She continued: “It’s astonishing really how hard he’s fighting to stop the Epstein files from coming out that he actually goes to this level. But really most Americans wish he would fight this hard to help the forgotten men and women of America who are fed up with foreign wars and foreign causes, are going broke trying to feed their families, and are losing hope of ever achieving the American dream. That’s what I voted for.”

The three-term congresswoman, once a MAGA icon, emphasized her loyalty: “I have supported President Trump with too much of my precious time, too much of my own money, and fought harder for him even when almost all other Republicans turned their back and denounced him.”

Yet she drew a line: “But I don’t worship or serve Donald Trump. I worship God, Jesus is my savior, and I serve my district GA14 and the American people. I remain the same today as I’ve always been and I will continue to pray this administration will be successful because the American people desperately deserve what they voted for.”

Trump’s attack came in a November 14, Truth Social post: “Marjorie Taylor Greene has gone Far Left, all I see from her is COMPLAIN, COMPLAIN, COMPLAIN! She has lost her way. I hear she is upset that I don’t return her phone calls, which I don’t. I can’t take a ranting Lunatic’s call every day. Marjorie, you have lost a wonderful conservative reputation, and if the right person runs against you in Georgia, I will endorse. Bad things happen!”

The clash followed Greene’s November 10, X criticism of Trump’s Oval Office meeting with Syria’s interim president Amad al-Sharaa on the U.S. Marine Corps’ 250th anniversary.

Greene labeled al-Sharaa a “former Al Qaeda terrorist wanted by our government,” noting his December 2024 rise, June 2025 sanction lifts, and minority killings.

She urged focus on domestic issues: “I would really like to see nonstop meetings at the WH on domestic policy not foreign policy and foreign country’s leaders. Start by hauling in the health insurance company’s executives and let’s start formulating our Republican plan to save America from Obamacare and ACA tax credits that have skyrocketed the cost of health insurance.”

Trump addressed reporters: “I don’t know what happened to Marjorie. She’s a nice woman, but I don’t know what’s happened. She’s lost her way, I think. But I have to view the presidency as a worldwide situation, not locally.”

To CNN’s Kaitlan Collins: “We could have a world that’s on fire where wars come to our shores very easily if you had a bad president. We had a horrible president, and we ended up with Russia/Ukraine,” Trump said.
