Lovers in Range Rover Accidentally Roll Into River While Being Intimate in Backseat After Hitting Gear Stick
A late-night tryst nearly turned tragic for a couple in Philadelphia when their intimate encounter in a parked SUV took a sudden plunge—literally.
The couple, engrossed in each other’s company were having rigorous sex in the backseat of a 2020 Range Rover, then accidentally knocked the vehicle’s gear stick, causing it to roll into the nearby Schuylkill River.
The incident unfolded around 4:15 a.m. in Fairmount Park, just two miles from Philadelphia City Hall. As the SUV began to move, it tumbled over the riverbank and sank into the water.
Fortunately, the couple managed to escape the vehicle just in time, jumping out moments before the Range Rover submerged beneath the surface. Neither was injured in the harrowing ordeal.
Police hinted that the couple was likely “getting busy” when the mishap occurred. Despite the dramatic turn of events, no charges are being pursued against the pair.
By 9 a.m., authorities had successfully hoisted the SUV from the river, with images showing the vehicle completely submerged near the Strawberry Mansion Bridge.
The bizarre incident marks the second time in recent weeks that a car has ended up in the Schuylkill River. In the previous case, a four-door sedan abruptly backed into the waterway after slamming on its brakes, witnessed by a person fishing nearby.
