‘You Are Hoes, Dumber Useful Idiots’: High-Ranking Trump Official Launches Late-Night Tirade at MAGA Influencers

Assistant Attorney General for Civil Rights Harmeet Dhillon unleashed a profane late-night tirade on X Sunday, branding critical MAGA influencers as “hoes” and “dumber useful idiots” for questioning the Trump administration’s pace on issues like election fraud probes.

The outburst from a senior Justice Department official—intended to defend Trump’s cabinet picks has instead highlighted escalating tensions within the conservative coalition, with some warning it could alienate the base ahead of the 2026 midterms.

Dhillon’s initial post targeted influencers spreading what she called “bulls— attacks” on Trump’s appointees: “‘Conservative’ influencers, if you think you are ‘keeping the pressure on’ or ‘winning’ by spreading bulls— attacks on Donald Trump’s hand-picked cabinet, you are NOT. You are earning money to spread misinformation. You are hoes. Learn an honest profession!”

The vulgarity shocked even seasoned observers of Trumpworld infighting, coming from a high-ranking DOJ official tasked with civil rights enforcement.

Backlash from the Base – ‘Alienating the People You Need’

The comments drew swift pushback from MAGA figures. Influencer “MAGA PATRIOT TGM,” replied: “I’m not earning one damn dime. I’m fed up with inaction.”

Conservative commentator Chelsey Freedom, followed by Rep. Thomas Massie (R-Ky.), noted Trump’s own frustrations with DOJ progress. Dhillon escalated: “Then you are even dumber useful idiots. At least hoes are getting paid and performing a service!”

Tami Marler, a former journalist and conservative voice, warned of electoral consequences: “The Trump administration could use a communications 101 course. The one where you’re taught to not alienate the base you DESPERATELY NEED to keep from getting decimated in the midterms and to keep Trump from being impeached AND removed. Keep calling ardent but disillusioned supporters idiots and other childish names. See where that gets you in November.”

The exchange showed growing discontent among grassroots conservatives who feel promised actions on election integrity, deportations, and government reform—have stalled.

Dhillon, a prominent election lawyer and Trump ally, was appointed to lead the DOJ’s Civil Rights Division earlier this year. She has defended the administration against voting rights challenges while advocating aggressive probes into alleged 2020 fraud.

Her tirade followed criticism of her own complaints about fraud without apparent DOJ action. When Reagan alum Hal Furman sarcastically noted her position to address it, Dhillon replied: “It’s a shame you are blocked.”

The profanity and dismissiveness from a senior official have amplified concerns about message discipline in Trump’s second term.

Tensions in the MAGA Coalition

Dhillon’s attack reflects deeper fractures. While Trump retains strong base loyalty, frustration mounts over perceived slow-walking of campaign promises. Influencers—key to mobilizing young and online voters feel sidelined as cabinet picks and policy delays dominate headlines.

Recent events like the chaotic Epstein file releases and economic headwinds have fueled disillusionment. Dhillon’s “hoes” slur risks further alienating the digital army that helped secure Trump’s 2024 victory.

Critics argue such outbursts reveal arrogance from appointees who view base pressure as disloyalty rather than accountability. With midterms looming and Republicans defending slim majorities, alienating activists could depress turnout or energize Democratic opposition.

Marler’s warning about midterm “decimation” and potential impeachment highlights the stakes. A fractured base could cost seats in competitive districts, opening paths to Democratic gains and renewed oversight or impeachment of Trump.

Dhillon has not commented further on the backlash. The DOJ has not addressed whether her language aligns with professional standards for a civil rights leader.
