Trump snaps, calls MTG a ‘traitor’ over threats against her — ‘I don’t think anybody cares about her’

President Donald Trump dismissed Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene’s assertions that his public attacks have endangered her life, telling reporters before boarding Air Force One on Sunday that he doubts anyone even cares about the Georgia congresswoman.

When asked about Greene’s claim that she was receiving death threats fueled by his rhetoric, Trump responded: “Her life is in danger? Who’s that?”

After a reporter clarified “Marjorie Taylor Greene,” the president interjected: “Marjorie ‘Traitor’ Greene. I don’t think her life is in danger. I don’t think. Frankly, I don’t think anybody cares about her.”

The exchange came one day after Greene posted on X that she was “being contacted by private security firms with warnings for my safety as a hot bed of threats against me are being fueled and egged on by the most powerful man in the world” — an explicit reference to Trump.

She wrote: “Aggressive rhetoric attacking me has historically led to death threats and multiple convictions of men who were radicalized by the same type rhetoric being directed at me right now. This time by the President of the United States. As a woman I take threats from men seriously.”

Greene continued: “I now have a small understanding of the fear and pressure the women, who are victims of Jeffrey Epstein and his cabal, must feel.”

On Sunday she added that her construction company’s office building had received a pipe-bomb threat.

The escalation follows Trump’s November 14 Truth Social post in which he formally withdrew support, calling her “Wacky” Marjorie, a “ranting Lunatic,” and announcing he would back a primary challenger in 2026 “if the right person runs.”

He wrote: “Over the past few weeks, despite my creating Record Achievements for our Country … all I see ‘Wacky’ Marjorie do is COMPLAIN, COMPLAIN, COMPLAIN! … I can’t take a ranting Lunatic’s call every day.”

Greene has broken with Trump on multiple fronts in recent months — criticizing his foreign-policy focus, demanding full Epstein file release (which Trump initially opposed before reversing Sunday), and calling for emergency House sessions to extend ACA subsidies.

Despite the rift, Greene insisted Sunday she still backs the broader agenda

“I stood with President Trump when almost no one else would. I campaigned for him all over this country and spent millions of my own dollars helping him get elected. That’s why being called a ‘traitor’ isn’t just hurtful, it puts a target on my back and puts my life in danger. And it only divides our country even more. But even through this, I still support the Trump administration and want to see it succeed for the American people.”

Trump’s Sunday reversal on the Epstein files — urging House Republicans to vote yes hours after Rep. Thomas Massie predicted over 100 GOP votes — came amid mounting pressure from his own conference and Greene’s repeated public demands.

The House is expected to vote on the Epstein transparency bill as early as Tuesday, November 18.
