Mom, 2 others order a ‘vicious’ pit bull to attack a handcuffed 6-year-old boy as a form of corporal punishment

A mother and two individuals from Ohio have been arrested after ordering a pit bull to attack a handcuffed 6-year-old boy as a form of punishment, according to authorities.

The incident took place on Saturday when deputies from the Ashland County Sheriff’s Office were called to a residence on Chapel Street in Savannah around 5 p.m., following a report that a pit bull had bitten a young boy on the neck and ear. Due to the severity of the injuries, the boy had to be airlifted to a hospital for treatment.

28-year-old Angelina Williams, the boy’s mother, lived in the home with a relative of the homeowner, 47-year-old Robert Michalski, who owned the dog. Before law enforcement arrived, Michalski had left the house with the dog.

After investigating, deputies allege that Michalski, Williams, and her 29-year-old boyfriend, Taylor Marvin-Brown, restrained the boy with handcuffs on both his hands and feet before commanding the dog to attack him.

On Monday, detectives searched the home and discovered evidence supporting these claims, though the specifics of what they found have not been disclosed. Michalski was later found hiding with the dog in an upstairs crawl space. The dog, which animal control deemed “vicious,” was confiscated by authorities.

All three suspects—Michalski, Williams and Marvin-Brown were arrested and charged with child endangerment. The complaint states that they subjected the boy to “corporal punishment” in a cruel and prolonged manner that posed a “substantial risk” of physical harm.

Additionally, Michalski faces a charge of tampering with evidence, while Williams and Marvin-Brown have been charged with obstruction of justice.
