Prepare Your Recipe

  1. Gather Ingredients:
    • List all the ingredients you’ll be using in your recipe, including quantities and measurements.
    • Make sure you have the nutritional information for each ingredient if it’s not already in the MyFitnessPal database.
  2. Organize Your Recipe:
    • Break down your recipe into clear steps, including preparation and cooking instructions.
    • Note the total number of servings your recipe will yield.

Open MyFitnessPal

  1. Log Into Your Account:
    • Open the MyFitnessPal app on your smartphone or go to the MyFitnessPal website on your computer.
    • Ensure you are logged into your account.
  2. Navigate to the Recipes Section:
    • To add recipes on MyfitnessPal, In the app, tap on the Menu (three horizontal lines) > Recipes, Meals & Foods > Create a Recipe.
    • On the website, go to Food > Recipes > Create Recipe.

Enter Recipe Information to MyFitnessPal, You Can Add More Recipes

  1. Manual Entry or Import:
    • Manual Entry:
      • Select “Enter Ingredients Manually” if you prefer to input each ingredient yourself.
      • Enter the recipe name, number of servings, and each ingredient one by one. You can search for ingredients in the MyFitnessPal database or add custom ones.
    • Import from the Web:
      • If you have a recipe from a website, you can use the “Add from the Web” feature.
      • Paste the URL of the recipe, and MyFitnessPal will automatically pull the ingredients and nutritional information. Review and adjust the imported data as needed.
  2. Input Ingredient Details:
    • For each ingredient, enter the name, quantity, and unit of measurement.
    • Use the search function to find ingredients in the database or create new entries for custom ingredients.

  3. Save Recipe:
    • Once you’ve entered all ingredients, review the recipe details.
