Eric finally reveals what Barron Trump actually said to Joe Biden at Inauguration — And it wasn’t ‘F-You’

New York, NY – Eric Trump has put to rest one of the internet’s most persistent inauguration-day conspiracy theories: the viral claim that 19-year-old Barron Trump leaned in and told outgoing President Joe Biden to “go f**k himself” during the traditional post-swearing-in handshakes on January 20.

Appearing on the November 14 episode of The Megyn Kelly Show, Eric, 41, laughed off the speculation that had sent lip-reading “experts” into overdrive for months.

“Do you remember that whole controversy where [Barron] went up to Biden … and [the media] had all these like lip-reading experts [analyze it], and they’re like, ‘Barron just told Biden to go F himself’?” Eric recalled.

“So one night … I call Barron, I go, ‘Buddy, look, what did you actually say?’ And he goes — it was something so polite I almost wouldn’t even get it right — but [something] like, ‘Congratulations and best of luck to you’ — or something like that. Something very respectful.”

Eric emphasized that confrontation simply isn’t in Barron’s nature.

“He’s a nice guy. He’s probably thinking it. He definitely has it up here [pointing to his head], but he’s too courteous to actually go out there and say it. He doesn’t have that in him. Barron’s a really nice kid.”

The moment occurred immediately after Donald Trump was sworn in as the 47th President and just minutes before the new president delivered a fiery 30-plus-minute inaugural address that repeatedly excoriated the Biden administration while the outgoing president sat mere feet away on the platform.

In the speech, Trump vowed to end what he called government-sponsored censorship of free speech, direct federal agencies to recognize only two genders, ensure school curricula never make students “feel ashamed of their country,” and unleash American energy with the rallying cry “drill, baby, drill.” He closed by declaring: “Our golden age has just begun.”

Video of Barron — at 6’9” towering over both Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris — calmly shaking hands and leaning in to say a few words to each had exploded online within hours of the ceremony.

Slow-motion clips racked up tens of millions of views, with amateur lip-readers and viral accounts insisting the youngest Trump son delivered a profane parting shot to the departing Democratic ticket.

Eric previously discussed the rumor with podcaster Patrick Bet-David, telling him the same thing: Barron is wired for politeness, not public confrontation.

Barron Trump, now a freshman at NYU Stern School of Business, has largely stayed out of the political spotlight since his father returned to the White House. The inauguration handshake was one of his few highly visible moments of the 2025 transition.

The debunked “F-you Biden” narrative had become a running joke in MAGA circles and a point of outrage on the left, with the clip still circulating widely on X and TikTok nearly ten months later — despite Eric’s on-the-record clarification.
