The Post Graduate Work Permit (PGWP) was created to make it simpler for foreign students to live and work in Canada for a maximum of three years after completing a tertiary credential from a relevant Canadian Designated Learning Institution, such as a certificate, diploma, or degree.

While the PGWP’s processing time for a Canada work permit varies from 80 to 180 days, applying early is important.
