'I Can't Stop Making Babies' Robert De Niro Reveals He's a Dad for the 7th Time

Alright folks, looks like Robert De Niro has been busy in the bedroom, because he’s now a father of seven! In a recent interview with ET Canada, the 79-year-old actor spilled the beans about his newest addition while discussing his latest film, About My Father.

De Niro shared, “I mean there’s no way around it with kids. I don’t like to have to lay down the law and stuff like that. But, [sometimes] you just have no choice. And any parent, I think, would say the same thing. You always want to do the right thing by the children and give them the benefit of the doubt but sometimes you can’t.”

When the interviewer brought up his six children, De Niro interrupted, “Seven, actually.” Yeah, looks like he’s been working on his own little mafia family in secret!

No word on who the baby’s mother is, but De Niro has six children from his previous relationships. That’s a lot of kids to keep track of! He had two kids with his first wife Diahnne Abbott, daughter Drena and son Raphael. In 1995, he welcomed twin sons Julian and Aaron with his former girlfriend Toukie Smith. He also has two kids, Elliot and Helen Grace with his ex-wife Grace Hightower. And let’s not forget that he’s also a grandfather now!

But don’t worry, folks. De Niro has some parenting advice for those of you out there with kids. “For my kids, I tell them, ‘If you want to be an actor or you want to do this or that, that’s fine as long as you’re happy. Just don’t sell yourself short,'” he said. “That’s the most I would say — push yourself a little more and reach for what you really think it is you want to do. Don’t be afraid.”
