Brendan Fraser, the recently crowned Best Actor winner is still reaping the rewards of his hard work, even after the Oscar season came to an end for 2022. Fraser was recently honored with the GIFF Inspiration Award at the Greenwich International Film Festival’s inaugural Inspiration Talk and award ceremony. This award is given to artists who inspire others through their philanthropic endeavors or their craft.
During the event, Fraser sat down with journalist Hannah Storm to discuss what’s next for him. He admitted that he’s taking a break and being “picky” about his next role. After the intense emotional rollercoaster that was the Oscar season, it’s no surprise that Fraser is taking some time for himself.

Fraser will only have a small role in the film, but he was enthusiastic about working with Scorsese and being surrounded by talented and passionate individuals. The film also boasts an all-star cast, including Leonardo DiCaprio, Robert De Niro, Lily Gladstone, Jesse Plemons, Scott Shepherd, Pat Healy, Tantoo Cardinal, Cara Jade Myers, JaNae Collins, Jillian Dion, William Belleau, Louis Cancelmi, Tatanka Means, Michael Abbott Jr., Gary Basaraba and Grammy Award-winning musicians Jason Isbell and Sturgill Simpson.
Scorsese’s “Killers of the Flower Moon” is his follow-up to his 10-time Oscar nominee “The Irishman” and his first collaboration with Apple Films. The film is a Western and reunites Scorsese with some of his most prominent actors and craft collaborators. Thelma Schoonmaker, the Academy Award-winning editor, is also onboard for the project.
